Janet Evans and Mickey NCAA-Georgia-Janet is an Olympic Champion and world record holder. I was working security at the time and this young lady tied to get into the dinning hall, I wouldn't let her in and then she askied if she could just look at her world records that were on the wall-You got it, Janet Evans."

Don, George Haines and Mickey, this shot was taken at the Olympic Trials, George was the coach of Mark Spits and the Santa Clara Swim Club. He had many top swimmers and many olympic champions during his coaching career. George is someone that we read about, to meet and talk to him in person was special to us.

Mickey, Roudy Gaines and Don at the Men's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at Auburn University. Roudy is a former Auburn swimmer, national champions, Olympic Champion and world record holder.

We were working security on this particular day and a young lady came over and sat next to us, I asked her how she had done, she said she won the 100 yard breastroke, little did we know that she would be the Olymic Champion and on the front page of Sports Illustrated. She is just 16 years old-how do they get so good so young.

Gary Hall Jr. at the Olympic Trials. We never got to know Gary , but did see how he got himself ready for the big meet. Gary won the Olympic Trials and tied for first place in the 50 meter freestyle at the Olympics. The unique thing about Gary is that he is diabetic and requires several insulin shots a day.

Mickey and Don during the Olympic Trials-August 2000. We were part of the volunteer security and one of our responsibilities was to assist with the drug testing.

Mickey and Don NCAA Georgia - This photo was taken outside the swimming pool at the University of Georgia. We both look pretty good and by the looks should go back on that diet before 2002.

This picture is Mickey, Jack Baurerly, and Don at the Olympic Trials. Jack's Team, the Georgia Bulldogs won the NCAA meet both last year and this year. Jack was also one of the Olymic Coaches in the 200 games. Are Don and I glad to be there, YES.

This is our 2000-2001 Metro Swimming Team. We have very successful in our litle part of the world. We were undefeated in dual meets, won our conference. first in our city meet, 2nd in the State Sectional and took 9 events to the state meet. Our boys inproved at state but did not score too high. It was a great year and with three seniors graduation we should be solid for next year.
